I had so much fun doing this shoot. I'm not sure when or where I picked up this window backdrop by DANU, but I found it when I was doing some inventory slimming down. It was just a plain white bay window.
But, with my new skills, I deconstructed it and "painted" the walls gray. Grabbed my rug by Malone to give it a "floor". Then, I downloaded an image of my home town, Chicago, to use as a background, and turned that plain window into a downtown penthouse.
I realize this may be simple to others, but I'm just having fun, now that I am on my own, seeing what I didn't know I could do. It's really crazy, actually.
In between building my backdrop, I did a little weekend shopping.
My outfit. The dress is by Dirty Princess. Like all their stuff, this one has the subtle details that I love. The shoes are by Brave from a weekend sale last month. I bought them for another outfit, but didn't use them. I really like them, so I was glad I had the opportunity to wear them.
I also got my eyeshadow, by IDDTY, from the Kinky 69 sale. I love their makeup, but most of their shades don't work well on darker tones. This one did and I think it looks great.
I think my favorite purchase this weekend was the pillows. They are by The Looking Glass from the Saturday Sale. There were tons of them on display. They come in fatpacks with a bunch of customization options from pillow colors, to adding little instruments.
The props all came from my inventory. My vast inventory of stuff that I purchased over the years, planning on taking pics, but never doing so. I don't know, one day, I just said what the fuck, and joined flickr.
I really didn't think anyone would like my "work", and I don't get lots of likes, but every single one I do get, makes me smile. I can't believe that people with the most beautiful pics are following me, and liking mine too. SL is so much fun, again.
