Moving to a new place isn't so easy. Especially when you have an endless inventory of home & garden stuff, and are moving to a place 1/3 the size. But, I'm making it work. Tiring, but fun.
It's a lot.
Before I took today's pics, I worked more on the landscaping. And, I cannot believe it, but I made a beach! I am really shocked at how much I have actually learned over all these years. I never had the opportunity to try these things that seemed too advanced for me. But, now I do and I'm taking advantage of it.
One of the toughest things about a reduced size location, was finding a house. The houses I already have are small to begin with. I don't really hang out in a house in SL. I do enough of that in RL.
So, I have three levels at my new property. The ground level, my beach and garden. The second level, my studio and salon. The third level, my home sweet home. That third level is a small dome. Smaller than I thought. My little houses didn't work at all.
I've spent days searching for a small house. Nothing, I mean nothing, was good enough. Last night, when I was about to just say fuck it, I came across THE CUTEST HOUSE EVER. It's by Fetch.
It is just what I was looking for and more. The detail is amazing and the size is perfect for my needs. I think this is my favorite purchase in all my years. I know I say that about a lot of things, but damn, this is adorable.
Cute houses need furnishings. So, I combed my inventory, and those of my alts, and really was able to put something together, that I think is really perfect. Besides the things I already had, there were a few things I needed, so I headed over to MP.
Of course, when I think "cute", I think Half Deer. OMG. It was so hard not to just buy the entire store, but I went with the macrame wall hanging. Love it!
I needed some funiture. It's a small place, so I started thinking "daybed". Yeah. Great idea. I was about to start searching and then, I remembered that I had a SLB19 store credit at Zerkalo. I also thought I saw a daybed at their booth.
I hopped back to the Shop & Hop and low and behold, there was my daybed. On sale! So, I used my credit and bought it.
Had I waited one more day, I would have had to pay full price in their store, as it was the last day of the Shop & Hop. It is so great. You can change every fabric, on every pillow, sheet and blanket, as well as the metal. All cute boho textures. It's gorgeous.
