flower shopping

It's Sunday. It's 70 degrees right now. Like the calm before the storm. Only it's not going to be a storm, it will be an oven. Enjoying the last few hours of the night time relief, I did my weekly sales shopping.

This weekend I had a goal. It was to outfit my Belleza Freya body. When mesh first came out, someone purchased the Venus for me. I loved it. I bought it for all my avis ever since. Happily Freya came out. Finally a body that wasn't pure barbie.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Maitreya Lara. I mean, you almost have to own one if you want full reign to all the clothes, apparel, jewelry, shoes, etc. However, she is so barbie-ish, I can't get her to achieve the body shape I want.

Belleza can and does.  Now, they offer three bodies in one package. Skinny, "regular", and curvy. The curvy body, Freya, can be edited so you can choose your curves. And, in the beginning, before Legacy, eBody, and Kupra came along, there were a lot of creators offering Belleza items in their packs.

Times have changed. Now, it's a challenge to find a complete outfit. And this weekend highlighted that. Besides a bunch of items I just didn't like, it was impossible to create something that was all Belleza. Disappointing, but as always, I went with my Maitreya body for the cute stuff.

It's no secret that my favorite color is purple. In rl, everything is purple, including my house on the inside and out. Yes, I have a purple house, like a soft violet. I live in Portland, so really, anything goes.

While I couldn't get a full Freya oufit, I got a completely purple outfit. Yay. The dress is by Decoy. It's just the right shade, like my house. I like the understated texture and the length. There are ruffles, but not prissy ones. It's perfect for an afternoon at the farmer's market, which is where my flower shop is located.

The hair is off the Happy Weekend list. It's by Wasabi, whose hair I've been wearing since my first rez, when they were called Wasabi Pills. This one is a messy pony that can really, be dressed up or down.

The eyes, which you can see better in the close-up below, are my favorite part of the whole thing. Also from Happy Weekend, they're by Euphoric, who always has the coolest eyes. At this point, they're the only ones I really wear. This fatpack comes with subtly mixed colors. This purple is gorgeous. I love the brown mixed in.

The jewelry is all by Earthstones. The earrings are from this week's Saturday Sale. They are purple and pink, which are always perfect pals. The necklace and bracelet were from last week's Saturday Sale. They all worked perfectly for my purple look. After all, they are both Amethyst, the stone.

The scene is this adorable Flower Shop from Fashiowl. I swear, their stuff is always so detailed and offer lots of options for pics. This one was no exception. It came with the cart and poses and props that went from flowers, to petting a cat, to holding a teddy bear (not my thing, but cute).

I had this market booth that I picked up from Make a  Mark a while back. It was a free gift, so I filed it away and this flower shop worked great. The crates, by Love, have been in my inventory for ions. It's part of a huge set that I've picked apart.

The wall clutter is by Kraftwork, another fave of mine. It was a gacha that I grabbed for less than anyting on the weekend's sales, so I went for it. Totally perfect for the scene.
